I may be on a long flight on Ethiopian Airways which en route, stops in Addis for a couple hours.
I have some free days on this trip, but won't be able to do as much as I'd like in Ethiopia.
Is it worth a two night stopover? I know about the museums in the city, but what about nearby area for a day trip? Ambo, for example?
I dont have to have activity-filled days--just walking around a market, for example, is fun for me.
Thoughts?
Brief Addis stopover?

You can easily skip Addis. There are many more interesting destinations in Ethiopia. The market there is the least interesting we've been to in Africa. It's not worth it.
