Now that's a Trip Report. Seriously impressed. You had some tough travel getting there but was it worth it. The picture of the "Golden Elephant" coming out of the forest at Dzanga is just stunning.
Fantastic photography. Your report is a keeper and I am saving it to savor slowly later.
Thanks for sharing. Again congratulations on making and recording this trip.
Thanks for reading! Glad you enjoyed it!

This is the best trip report I´ve seen on this forum!! I been to Africa many times, but I really want to go CAR or Gabon to see the forest species. But it just seemed to be too many obstacles, (and I also have 2 kids aged 3 and 8). But after reading this report I am going to start saving up my pennies
Thanks...

Is your budget a secret or could you share some of it with the rest of us??
Another one of your fabulous reports. Very admirable. Thanks.
Thanks jesron and femi! Yes, travel with kids can be challenging but CAR if fine in my opinion. As for the budget - basically we spend a significan portion of our annual income on travel. What we don't save and eat, we use for our expeditions. We long ago dumped the mortgage lifestyle in the USA and moved overseas to teach at international schools, which was financially the smartest move ever. Teaching internationally (not English language - different story altogether...) provides better incomes and work conditions than you could ever get back in the states. So with little to know expenses, we get to save most of our income, and the rest is for travel!
