Hello,
We are a family of 8 (incl 2 kids -2 and 5) and are planning a trip abroad . We are planning on Dubai but before I'd like to know whether Dubai is a good choice for a family visit. We have a week in hand in July. Your comments and suggestions are welcome.

A little more information would be helpful.
Where are you coming from?
What made you pick Dubai?
What activities do you/your family like (or want) to do?
Is this purely a "relaxing" type holiday or do you want to include cultural things?
It will be scorching in July so you will have to focus on water activities or indoor activities. The upside is that hotel prices are lower during the summer. The water in the sea is even very warm at that time of the year but there are plenty of pools and a great watermark. The museum would be interesting for children too as there are life-size dioramas of Bedouin life but it only takes about 30min to see.
Sorry, that was supposed to be WaterPark.
As the above poster stated it will be very hot here in July, well over 100 F with humidity. The other thing to consider is when in July you would like to come, as Ramadan starts around the 19th of July this year.
