The plan is to drive from Durban to East London via the N2. Question: Can anyone give me advice regarding this particular route? We heard conflicting stories from South Africans, one saying that it's no problem at all, the other advising us against taking this route because it is dangerous.
Has any of you Fodorites ever driven via this route? Would it be advisable and worth our while? Any advice on accommodation along the way? Is it worth to make a detour via the the Wild Coast and if so which place can you recommend? Any advice is most welcome.
