After reading a recommendation here in 2009 for NileBlue Excursions, I contacted them regarding our two days in Egypt during an October 2011 cruise. They were fabulous. Every email received a quick reply. Our guide, Moemen, was terrific and the driver was incredible (If driving in Egypt were my job, I'd be in a mental hospital after the first day!).
Four different groups from our cruise went with NileBlue and when we compared notes at breakfast, we were all very pleased with our choice. When the Library at Alexandria was closed due to a wildcat strike,Moemen took us on a wild ride through the markets.
One caution, if you plan to pay with a credit card, make that very clear from the first day.
