Thinking of honeymooning in Dubai for 7 days and then extending to the Seychelles. Do you suggest staying in the city, the beach or both while in Dubai? We're going in June and I know it will be hot weather then...will this be a problem? Any advice is definitely appreciated.

There is a lot more info on Dubai over on TA. I like Dubai as a stopover and you will get great rates on lux hotels in June but I wouldn't spend more than 2-3nts there. Check out the One and Only as a romantic hotel and I also love the Park Hyatt. It's hot in June but not intolerable, July, aug, and sept are much worse. Be prepared for hot and humid however.
I'll double down on the 3 nights in Dubai recommendation. Spend that excess time in Seychelles.
Hot, hot, hot and humid in Dubai.
As others, I'd shorten Dubai to 3/days most and then be off to the Seychelles. While also hot and humid, it's Paradise... no big buildings, traffic, etc. Split time in the Seychelles between minimum 2, preferably 3 islands... transport between these is easy enough to arrange whether by short-haul flights or boat/ferry.
