There are 2 sets of immigration desks at NBO with a hallway running in between the two. Most people tend to head to the set of desks closest to their arrival gate so if the lines look long, just look to your right or left (depending on which sets of desks you're standing in front of) for the hallway and walk to the other set of desks.
Concern about a possible bypass to a 'shorter' Immigration queue at this point is the least of your concerns from your other threads!
Suggest, you have your safari planned properly.
I have never waited longer than 10/min at Immigration (to purchase Visa), which was a whole lot shorter than almost 1/hr at SYD.
My experience from my recent Kenyan trip in August was to purchase a visa at the Kenyan embassy in DC (or in your country) before flying to Nbo.
But the worst waiting period is not in entry to JKIA but the departure in the hallway downstairs-it's a marketplace in the mornings!!
