Getting close to crunch time when the 50% deposit needs to be made for safaris in Mashatu & MalaMala plus 5 days in Cape Town and I'm starting to get "cold" feet thinking it really might be too cold on game drives and sleeping in this area in June.
June was selected to celebrate a special birthday but will it be too cold to shower in Mashatu's outdoor shower or am I just being a sissy?
Will the tents be too cold to sleep in even with hot water bottles?
Do I need thermal underwear?
I'm not a fan of heat but wondering if I may have gone too far over on the cool side.
June in Mashatu & MalaMala

My husband and I stayed at Mashatu Tented Camp in July 2011 and it was too chilly for me to be comfortable taking a morning shower.
However, I had no problem taking a shower during the times between the morning and afternoon game drives.
There were ample blankets on the bed and sleeping was quite cozy.
For those nippy morning game drives the camp provided hot-water bottles and blankets.
I also dressed in layers and made sure my ears were covered...I always pack ear-wraps . Gloves, of course, are a given when packing for a winter safari in Botswana.
You should be fine at Mala Mala as you won't be sleeping in a tent.
It is chilly and you Do Need Warm clothing. I always suggest gloves and a balaclava. By around 08h00 you will be taking off those layers so prepare yourself for that.
Have a great Safari

Thanks starspinners glad to hear it'll be warm enough to shower midday.
