Just starting to plan our itinerary for a trip to Morocco this winter. Will be coming from Andalucia, where we'll be seeing friends in Jerez. I've looked up how long the train and ferry journeys are, but still can't quite tell how long I should allow to get from Spain to Morocco.
For instance, is it feasible to take a bus from Jerez to Algeciras (2 hrs) and continue on via ferry to Tangier the same day? Or will be find it difficult to make transfers from bus to ferry?
Same thing returning -- can we get from Fes to Tangier and back to Spain all in a day?
We will have a good French speaker and fluent Spanish speaker in our group, so that should help, but I don't want to bite off more than we can chew.
Thanks, everyone.

You might want to take the ferry from Tarifa which still goes into the port of Tangiers. The ones from Algeciras now go into the new port of Tanger Med which is located about 40 kms from Tangiers.
Just try to catch an early ferry to Tangier and you'll get to enjoy your day there. English is fine, but a French speaker will obviously be a bonus.
