Volunteering in Africa - IFRE

I'm thinking of volunteering in Tanzania through the Institute for Field Research Expeditions. http://www.ifrevolunteers.org/ Has anyone ever heard of this group? Any feedback? There is a similar program through Global Crossroads, so I'd be interested if anyone had participated in that one as well.
