My husband's and my most recent arrival in Zambia was in July 2011.
Our port of entry was the airport in Livingstone where we obtained our single-entry Zambian visas...$50.00 each, payable in US cash only.
We were in transit to Botswana; so a single-entry visa was all we required. I can't say for certain if multiple -entry visa are available at the port of entry.
We were given our visa forms on the flight from Johannesburg and already had them filled out before we landed.
On prior trips we picked up a form once we arrived at Livingstone.
One thing different this last trip was at least one member of each party applying for visas at Livingstone was fingerprinted.
I don't recall that being the case on our 2 previous visits there.
The line to purchase visas was long, but moved fairly quickly.
Was in Zimbabwe a few months ago - got visa on arrival at Victoria Falls airport. No problem, though a slow tedious process as the agents hand wrote everything while people stood in a long line. Don't recall the price exactly but I think it was $30 US dollars.
Thanks for the info. We will only need a single entry visa. Visa in advance requires photos. Are they required when you get them upon arrival? Thanks.
No photo needed - just your passport and cash (exact amount).
