We're a couple in our early 30's, planning our first trip to Bali in the first week of February for 4 nights. From what we've read/heard, we plan to spend 2 nights in one of the cliff top resorts located at the southern most part of the island (Bukit peninsula I think). And the other 2 nights around Kuta/Legian area.
Will appreciate any suggestions for resorts, both Bukit and around Legian/Seminyak
Thanks,
R&S

Uzbekistan: A Lesson in Silk Road Hospitality

My suggestion would be to spend half you time in one of the beach areas -- I'd opt for Seminyak -- and half in Ubud. What's your budget and how do you visualize filling up your day?
The resorts in parts of Jimbaran and on the Bukit are exceptionally beautiful but entail a lot of view gazing and pampered relaxation, versus beach walking, water sports, a variety of restaurants, shops and spas. Both are good, but very different.
I think Ubud is a must to experience the magical mystery aspect of Bali -- extraordinary natural beauty plus arts, crafts and cultural pageantry.
