After four very nice days on Bali, I will return home on Saturday evening with a Garuda flight leaving DPS at 6:30pm. The airline recommends to be at the airport latest at 4:30pm.
I will have to vacate my bungalow near Ubud around 1pm, and the owner said that time for transfer will be hard to anticipate at that time and may be more than the usual hour.
Nevertheless, IF I arrive at the airport at 2pm and IF I will be able to already check-in luggage, will there be anything in the very immediate vicinity of the airport worth seeing or doing - or just be a nicer place to kill 2-3 hours without risking any delays in getting back to the airport?
Thanks and greetings from Bali.
Bali: anything to do near the airport for few hours?

The airport is only about 30 minutes from Seminyak beach where there are all sorts of restaurants. If there's traffic it can be about an hour.
Since you're not sure when you will be able to check in, perhaps you could just retain your transport from Ubud from 1 to 4:30. That way you could leave Ubud at 1, stop in Seminyak or other places along the way and get to the airport at 4:30.
Thanks. Eventually it worked out pretty well with my transfer being a bit delayed. So I only had to kill two hours at the airport which was okay.
