I am going to be based in Phnom Penh around 29th March.I have a return flight to Osaka (where I live) on the 30th March.
The return flight is from Vientiane, to Phnom Penh, to Ho Chi Minh and then to Osaka.
I would like to board the plane at PP save me travelling up to Laos but after speaking to both Expedia.jp and Vietnam airlines they are saying this can't be done and aren't being flexible.
I don't want to change my flight details, date or time. I just want to board at a later stage. Its all booked and paid for.
Does anyone know if there is anyone else I could contact who could help me sort out this problem? I don't really want to pay for flight to Laos just to come back down to PP when I am already in Cambodia.
Thanks

I'm sorry to tell you this but you probably don't have much choice here. And Expedia and Vietnam Airlines - it's not that they're inflexible, they just don't have much choice either, but have to observe fare rules and conditions of the ticket you purchased.
Your choices most likely are either to 1.) fly as ticketed, or 2.) purchase a new one-way ticket originating in Phnom Penh.
Unfortunately, If you miss one leg of a trip, most - if not all- airlines will cancel the rest of the legs. Just one of those things where there is no flexibility. Sorry.
Just out of curiosity, why did you originally include Vientiane?
