Hi there,
We will be in Chengdu for several days in April, and I was hoping to get some feedback on a few questions. First, is it possible to visit Le Shan and Emei Shan in one day? Would hiring a driver be the best option if we needed to optimize time? Does anyone have a recommendation for a driver in Chengdu if we wanted to do that?
Also, I want to see the pandas and am leaning towards going to Bifengxia instead of the Chengdu Panda Research base. Any advice one way or the other on the two?
Has anyone been to or would recommend either Shangli or Huanglongxi ancient towns for a visit?
Thanks!

Not possible to see both sites in one day. Emishan takes a full day and usually people stay there overnight too at several different hotels. Leshan can be combined with a visit to the Panda Experiment station however. I go there often and many other things to see in the Chengdu area as well.
The best time to see the pandas is early morning while they're eating, so you could do Le Shan afterwards. I thought most people spent three days or more at Emei Shan, for a one day equivalent there's Qingchen Shan.
Hmm, Emei Shan may not be possible then. I will look at Qingchen Shan, that might work better for us. Thanks!
