Any suggestions on where to stay inside the Park? We are young sixties who can aford to stay at nice place but we expect relative value. Tiger Tops is no bargain and receives extreme reviews in Trip Advisor. Any suggestions re where to stay and the number of days in order to appreciate the Park?

Hi there,
Currently inside park is closed for accommodation. But you can do all activities as usual as past years...
This is why, every body has to stay outside the park for night... Where also as same as qualities hotels outside too.
Normally, Chitwan program is 2 night/3 days.

We stayed at the Jungle Safari Losge in the village abutting Chiwtan Nationsl park in April '12.
It was my first visit to Nepal ( going back next year), so I didn't really know what to expect.
In retrospect, I think it was a good choice.
The daily activities plan with the guide included all the tourist activities and living in the village allowed at leash a glimpse of normal lIfe for those of us who chose to take a wander when the day trippers had gone home.
Given that this is my only Chitwan experience, you should know I don't have any other points of reference here. I thought the guide was quite good and he was certainly responsive to those of us who knew a bit about botds, wildlife & wanted to take an early morning walk while others slept.
