We are in SE Asia and enjoying our trip. TR to follow upon our return home.
I neglected to ask how much we should expect to pay a taxi from the airport to the Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong. Also, do they accept American dollars or do we need to change money at the airport? Thanks so much for your help. Any tips for our 2 day stay would be appreciated, restaurants, etc,

You'll need HK$'s for your taxi. Change money? No. Use an ATM for the best rates.
They do take credit cards, but you will need HK money everywhere..
I think we paid about $250HK
Only a handful of taxis take credit cards, and I mean literally a handful. Fare to Grand Hyatt is about $280 to $300 because of the high tolls ($100).
Baggage charge may be levied on every piece of baggage that is carried inside the baggage compartment, and every piece of baggage with total dimensions (length + width + height) exceeding 140cm that is carried inside the passenger compartment. In addition, there is no limit on the number of baggage carried by passengers inside a taxi in Hong Kong. A taxi can normally carry about three suitcases of regular size (1.7m length x 0.7m width x 0.5m height) in a baggage compartment.

Thank you for your replies.
Where is an ATM in the Hong Kong airport?
In the arrival hall, after you exit customs and the greeting area. Several scattered all over, including HSBC and other major banks. Don't use the ones from Travelex as they will have higher fees. All others are fine.
Thank you very much. Once again, that's perfect information, and we appreciate it!
(This is the first time that we're not being met at the airport by a driver and being whisked away to our hotel).
If you have any friends in Hong Kong at all, ask them if they have any Taxi on-call numbers. This way you say a few tens of dollars on the Taxi ride but if not don't worry, it's only US$10 you're saving anyways. So expect the Taxi to be HK$300 which is about US$35. If you rather take the Airport Express (speed train from airport to Central) it's about HK$110/US$15 per person. No Benjamins. HK Dollars only. The airport has ATM and currency exchange. Ask the airport staffs for directions.

If it's ur first time in HK and u're staying for only 2 days, I suggest Buddha Temple, Dim Sum at a decent Chiense restaurant like Fook Lam Moon, Lok Yu Tea House, or ask your hotel concierge, Lan Kwai Fong for nightclub. There are basically two sides of HK divided by the harbour. You usually take the MTR(subway) to get across but you want to try to take the Star Ferry for a HK style transportation. Go to a "Cha Chan Tang" HK Style Tea Restaurant: ask ur concierge hehe
Fook Lam Moon = decent? One of the most expensive in town. And a favorite of the very richest of HK's elite group, the 'Tycoons'.
Yes it indeed is very expensive. But just laying it out cause who knows? wkwb42a could be loaded. wakawubufortytwoah~
