Does anyone have any recommendations for well located, local (ie, non-chain, non-Marriott) hotels in these three cities (trip not until next August).
Thanks

Thanks, I made the trip last August, when, for obvious reasons, I was unable to visit Georgia, so I only visited Azerbaijan and Armenia. Since that time, I have heard from the Tbilisi hotel where I had planned to stay, and they were unscathed during the conflict. I hope to visit Georgia in the next few years.

Consider GTM Hotel, Tbilisi, likely about 80 Euros. Cash is better as credit charge charges in Georgia are very high. Ask for the room with the balcony overlooking the 'Old Town', not on the street.
Kopala Hotel is an adjacent alternative, more money but with a roof top restaurant.

Do look at the dates of posts before you reply. You have just given advice to someone who posted this 6 years ago and has long ago gone on that trip.
