I will be in India in February and have a question about the reliability of electricity. Do I need to bring a travel surge protector for my electronics as they are charging? We are staying in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur in Taj-type hotels. Thanks in advance.

We had no electrical problems.
We had a little power strip from Radio Shack that could charge four items at once, but I don't think it was a surge protector. Also brought along various plug adapters - the two pronged European type worked everywhere.
in two trips i have not had one... in that class hotel, you should be fine..
i often did not need adapters either
