Taj Mahal Evening Opening Question

Jump to last reply

I've ust read in my National Geographic India book that evening visits are allowed to the Taj Mahal 2 days before and 2 days after the full moon - bookings essential!

Anyone any experience/thoughts on this. We arrive in Agra December 26th for one night, which, as it turns out is 2 days before the full moon on the 28th.

My question is really would there be any benefit to going to the Taj in the evening, particularly as photography is our main interest in going. We would, of course, still plan to visit at sunrise the following morning as well.

Thanks in advance.
