I am planning on traveling to the Philippines from Boston in July, and am gettting sticker shock by the cost of airfares! I know it's hard to look into a crystal ball to predict oil prices and air fares --but when do you think is the best (cheapest) time to book air travel?
When to book airfare?!

July is peak travel month (summer vacation), so that's why you are seeing those high fares. Normally I would suggest for you to wait in april, maybe may for sale fares but the Philippines is not really a prime tourist destination, so airfares tend to remain consistent from what it is now. I would guess +/- $50-$60 difference but not a lot.
Anyway, good luck!

It is already too late to get a really good deal for peak season. Book as best as you can quickly or wait till they drop in fall. Oil prices and tourist traffic is only increasing.
Happy Hunting!
Hmm.. does July come before "fall"?
Airfares are now going up due to the price of jet fuel. That headline was in the news yesterday. I'm glad I've already got my tickets for a couple of itineraries!
