I'll be in Bangkok for a wedding in July and I'd like to use it as a jumping off point for a few other destinations on the bucket list.
Flights to Bangkok are very reasonable, but when I start adding multiple city destinations on Kayak it goes up tenfold.
Any recommendations on how to plan this? Ideally I'd hit HK, Perth and Fiji, though I know those are far-flung destinations.
Book a RT to Bangkok and separate flights around? (It'd stink to have to come back to BK, especially from Fiji).
Other thoughts?

Are you part of an airline frequent flyer program?
I believe Thai Air flies from Bangkok to Perth - they're part of Star Alliance, as is Singapore Airlines, which also flies to Perth. United has flights into Hong Kong from the US - they're Star Alliance too. Qantas also flies into Perth, but maybe only from Singapore, and they're part of a different alliance.
I live in Perth and I've found flights out of Perth are a heck of a lot more expensive than flights into Perth.
Have you looked into around-the-world fares? You don't mention where you're coming from, but RTW might be an option.
