What is the best way to get a GPS that will work in both Australia and New Zealand.
I land in Christchurch in late Feb and will be driving the South Island and then over to Melbourne AU up to Sydney. The rental car companies charge $11 a day.
Where is the best place to buy/get a GPS that will work for both countries?
I have not been able to find one on line here in the US.

I don't know where you live but I live in the US. I bought several years ago a European TOM TOM that has been invaluable everywhere we have gone-from Morocco to England,Chile to our recent trip last week to New Zealand.
We just download new maps via online if they are not included on our TOM TOM and it has worked out well as opposed to having a US GPS which would cost you so much $$$ loading all the foreign maps.
Thanks had thought about down loading maps on my us GPS but did not know if the us car powercord would work overseas. Sounds like the one you bought in Europe worked Down Under too.
