The Queenstown to Strahan Heritage Rail will be shutting down in April unless they can get the Tas Government or some "white knight" to run it. It was on the ABC noon news.
When I get time - will look into it.
Stay tuned.
Trip report for my month in Tassie will be up soon as well.

peterSale:
How sad. Wonder how many job losses the closing will cause. Traveling from the US next month and have already booked (with your previous assistance) this trip for the 18th. Was assured by the supervisor Kathryn, the train would be running. Hopefully, the staff will still be on board. Looking forward to reading your report in case I forgot to include something.
