Hi all,
We have a layover in YVR on our way to Hawaii. We have about 5 hours.
Is this enough time to hop in a cab and head to the Aquarium?
Any other suggestions of where to while away a few hours? note that we will have jackets but not really "winter" clothes so can't really do something outdoors.
THX!

I haven't been to YVR but DH & I are planning a trip and leaving in the next couple of weeks.
These are some of the places Fodorites have mentioned that might be fun for kids:
Stanley Park, CApilano Suspension Bridge, Science World & Aquarium
YVR to the aquarium takes about 40 mins each way, and you would like some time to enjoy the aquarium. I honestly wouldn't go anywhere if my layover was just 5 hours, it seems like a risk.
Most flights if not all going to Hawaii from YVR clear Immigration in Vancouver as well as flights to some foreign countries. Depending on the number of flights out and size of the planes you could be in line for a very long time. Of course you have to clear security again as well. I wouldn't risk going far from the airport if at all. Its a beautiful and large terminal so you wouldn't have any trouble killing time there.
don't some "overseas" flights require you arrive 1-2 hours early for check in? I wouldn't chance it either.
