Canadian Rockies Labor Day weekend

Is Labor Day weekend extremely busy in the parks and would we need to make reservations now for accommodations in 2013? We are planning to take 10 - 14 days starting Aug 25 to exploring the Banff, Jasper and Glacier Parks and surrounding areas. Thanks!
