We are a newly formed group of three active, independent, senior ladies and would like to find a fourth (to balance the group) for a trip to the Canadian Rockies sometime in mid 2013. There is a possibility of other continuing trips.
We would like to see Maligne Canyon, Peyto and Moraine Lakes. Apparently, not all standard trips go there?
Also, going such a long way from Australia, two days at Lake Louise is more attractive than the overnighter most tours offer.
Not fussed about the inside passage cruise although seeing something of Alaska is of interest. We prefer to avoid having to diet for a year or two by overeating on the Rocky Mountaineer/cruise.

Check with Brewster tours. http://www.brewster.ca/
The Brewster ticket desk is in the east half of the Jasper ViaRail station. The ViaRail Canadian will be much cheaper than the Rocky Mountaineer.
There are several rental car agencies within walking distance of the Jasper Station.
I drove a rental car to the top of the Maligne Canyon and then had my wife drive to the bottom and park and head up the trail until she met me. There is a footbridge at the bottom near the parking area. Maligne Lake above the canyon, is worth driving to as well. With my limited budget, I usually stay at the HI Hostel which is just off the Icefield Highway about 3 miles SW of Jasper.
The Basin Run from the Knob Traverse and into the Tranquilizer at Marmot Basin, Jasper, Alberta.
Sorry, wrong thread.
