I'd like to live outside the city but in close enough proximity that's convenient to commute via public transportation. I love suburbs which are affordable/not expensive, with great schools, amenities, safe, etc.
Looking for nice apartment community - 2bedroom. Can you guys give me any leads and if anyone has recently relocated to Vancouver can you give some advice as to how to make a smooth transition please? Especially with shipping and with an 18mnth old child. Looking forward to your responses.

Hi, JoyfulNATural,
Check previous posts for a post labelled Emigrating to Vancouver - it may give you a starting point for ideas. Good luck with your move.
Thanks...will do.
My friend rented a nice 1-bedroom apartment in Burnaby, close to Metrotown, when she first moved to Vancouver: http://www.translink.ca/~/media/documents/schedules_and_maps/stn_exch/metrotown.ashx.
