We need to get from Whitehorse to Anchorage early June (Around 1st/2nd of June). The shuttle bus doesn't run on the day we want to travel (a Monday) & at present the only other way we can see to get there is by getting to Skagway, a flight to Juneau & then another flight to Anchorage. Has anyone got any other suggestions. We can leave Whitehorse on the Monday & don't have to be in Anchorage untill the Tuesday. We would have liked to go by road but it doesn't seem possible to hire a car for a one way trip. Your thoughts please!!!

I don't have any solutions/suggestions, but I know that my very favorite segment of the Alaska Highway was along Kluane Lake, which is just beyond Whitehorse heading toward Alaska.
In fact the scenery along the whole path between Whitehorse and Anchorage is definitely worth enjoying from the road.
Yes we would love to do the trip by road but it doesn't seem possible to hire a car one way from
Whitehorse to Anchorage. The shuttle bus runs on Sun or Wed - we can't take the Sunday one due to committments in Whitehorse & the wed one is leaving it too late for us getting to Anchhorage. Hopefully someone can come up with a suggetion......
