Toronto week or two or three furnished accomodation

A friend / business colleague and his wife have arrived in Toronto from England, and are looking for temporary furnished apartment or house for a couple of weeks, prior to getting long term accomodation.

They are now house sitting in a friend's apartment, but friend is coming back from Florida next week, a month earlier than originally planned.

Predisposition is the west end, including Oakville, where they'd be near me.

And there's a huge conference of prospectors coming to town next week, causing a hotel shortage for my friend.

Suggestions welcome.
