In my 67 years of living in Southern Ontario, I have seen the northern lights twice, both a complete surprise. Good luck to you. By "north" in this huge province, you would have to go far far north to lessen the odds and even then it is a crapshoot. Any travel company promising northern lights is probably capable of predicting earthquakes too.
