We have decided on Anguilla for our Honeymoon in June and now have the task of searching for the BEST place in Anguilla. I’m torn between Viceroy and Cap Juluca. I’ve been trying to look for updated pictures from CJ and see what they renovated, etc but having no luck. My dilemma is I like the look of Viceroy much better…so much more updated and new (compared to CJ which seems so worn down). But I hear CJ has a nicer beach. Here are my two cents but would love to hear other people’s opinion that have been….and if I’m wrong…please correct me.

Cap Juluca
- Best Beach
- Spread out (not east to walk from your room to restaurant or bars)
- Tired, outdated interior (old rooms, doors, ants, etc)
- Quite, serene, private


Viceroy
- Luxury rooms, amenities, food options, location and décor
- “Seem to be a number vs at CJ, you are at a semi private retreat”
- Beach isn’t as nice as CJ
- Bigger property


Like I said, we are going at the end of June. We are both 30 and are big beach people. Like a cocktail or two and good food. Want to be able to hit up some beach bars and just relax….
