Day trips with baby

We're going to stay in a villa at the wyndham del Mar at the end of Feb with son/DIL and their 12 month old daughter. She is very easy, not fussy.They are going to backpack her and were doing El Yunque early one day. We will take them to Old Town for a day trip. I read about the lagoon and a few other things. How is the ferry ride over there? Rough? Any other ideas? We've been there on cruises, never explored beyond San Juan. Also, we need ideas for a San Juan restaurant with quality native cuisine/seafood. Prefer casual, $ no object, good food a must. Thanks!
