Hi,
We're going on a 3-night/4-day getaway in November from the NYC area. We want a direct flight and a hotel close to the airport to cut travel time.
We're looking for:
--as uncrowded a beach as possible without leaving the safety of a resort
--clean rooms
--special occasion, so we don't want to be disappointed by a rundown hotel
--room with some privacy features would be nice (like a private balcony or plunge pool) but not necessary
--laid back, not stuffy vibe
Not looking for:
--night life
--crowds
--noise
--a plethora of activities
We'd go to the Bahamas but too hard to travel to the out islands. Also probably more expensive. Turks and Caicos was another option but also expensive. So we narrowed it down to Punta Cana for convenience and the most value.
What is the least crowded resort beach that you've ever been to in PC?
Thanks for your help!

Punta Cana caters to AI crowds, so each resort will be crowded.
What's your budget? General statements like "expensive" doesn't mean anything as we would just be guessing. Also include if you want air and other things in your budget.
Time of year also affects prices and crowds.
Jetblue starts flying nonstop from JFK to Samana on November 14. That's the most tranquil part of the DR, and it has a few AI resorts. But Punta Cana will be crawling with tourists then.
In Punta Cana itself, you'll find that the beach at Punta Cana Resort is probably the least crowded since it has only one resort close by (Club Med). It's on the Caribbean side, where there are only 2 hotels. Note, however, that the hotel is not all-inclusive.
I don't think Punta Cana is known for uncrowded beaches. It's pretty much a strip of tourist resorts, right? Sorry I've been only to Santo Domingo, Sosua and Puerta Plata in DR.
