Hi - experienced Caribbean travelers I need your help! Booking family trip - 2 adults, 2 Tweens - for March. Was excited about Four Seasons Nevis bc resort sounded nice, love the idea of moderate hiking, biking and kayaking and we love lounging at the pool or beach. Only concern is read that the beach water is serenely calm and my husband and daughter love wave jumping in the ocean. Any suggestions for islands that have moderate hiking, biking, kayaking, pretty beaches with lively waves, good but simple food (we like quality but are not foodies). Had also considered Barbados (Sandy Lane) or Antigua (Carlisle Bay - wasn't sure if there is bike riding). Have been to Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Jamaica, Grand Cayman so would prefer to try somewhere else.

You are among the few looking for "wavy water" - most Caribbean visitors want calm waters.
Anyway, check out the Marriott on St. Kitts - it's on the Atlantic side of the island and water there is usually "wavy".
On Nevis look at Nisbet Plantation Inn - it too is on the wavier Atlantic side of the island where you'll find good places for "wave jumping".
Also check out the Rincon area of Puerto Rico - Surfers love the area because of the waves.
Hint, most island have a leeward (calm) side - usually the Caribbean side and a windward (wavy) side - usually the "Atlantic side" . While you'll find most resorts on the calm water beaches there will be resorts on the wavier side of the island(s). Pick you island first then look for a resort that meets your budget that's on the "wavy side" of that particular island or stay on the Caribbean of the island and go to the windward side beaches when your family wants to "play in the surf".
