My fiance and I (in our mid-20s) are researching for our Honeymoon in October. We are on a smallish budget so we feel like the Caribbean is our best bet for flight/hotel cost ratio. Last year we visited Barbados and absolutely loved the mix of beach and exploring we could do. We are hoping to replicate this amazing experience on another island.
We have narrowed it down to: Turks & Caicos, St. Maarten, and perhaps St. Thomas or St. Croix.
Our main criteria are:
Budget between $2-4k for the trip
Beachfront
Some nightlife, but we aren't party animals
I feel a little overwhelmed by so many options, so if anyone could give me some guidance, that would be much appreciated!
Katie

Caribbean beach would be the best. You can consult with some tourist ajencies. They have some packages according to your budget.
October is prime hurricane season, so you need to factor that aspect in. The Islands in the Southern Caribbean are your best bet weather wise, but there is still no guarentee. Definitely get the hurricane/trip insurance that you can cancel for any reason and not just if your flight is canceled or your hotel closes.
If you liked Barbados, look at Aruba. Tons of dining/bar options, shopping and entertainment.
T & C is all about Grace Bay beach and the water. There is not much nightlife or shopping there.
St. Thomas has to be one our least favorite vacation destinations. The Island is just to iffy for us.
St. Maarteen never made our list. Haven't been to St. Croix in many moons. The USVI's just never did anything for us, though people on this forum consistantly rave about St. John. I didn't see it. It wasn't for us.
I'm definitely biased, but met some honeymooners while on the Caicos Dream Tours excursion yesterday, and they were having the time of their lives while on Providenciales!
