Hello my fiancee and I are making the usual exhaustive search for the perfect place for our honeymoon May 2013. While many have recommended going somewhere truly special like venice or greece we aren't looking to do much sight seeing. Just want to relax and we figure a caribbean island is perfect for that.

Budget: 4000$-6000$

Looking for :
Top notch beach (beautiful + not too rough for swimming) and great room (villa, suite, etc) as after all this planning we will spend most of our time there. I've been searching for rooms with any combination of a garden shower, private pool, terrace with hammocks, great view.. Not expecting all of these things in a room (unless it's 1,000$ a night) just somethings I like to see. If the room is truly great I can do w/o all of those things and If the room is on the beach that's perfect.

While the first few days we just plan on decompressing we would like an island with some nightlife for later in the week.

From what I've seen aruba and st.martin have nightlife and great beaches but I wasn't crazy about the resorts I researched in st.martin. I hear the beaches in turks and caicos are among the best but haven't seen much as far as nightlife. Any recommendations or advice is appreciated. Perhaps some ideas I haven't thought of...?
