St. Maarten Reccommendations

Hi! I am 25 years old and planning my honeymoon for October this year. We are looking all over the Caribbean but I have honed in on St. Maarten as our top choice.

My fiance and I looking for a good mix between beach relaxing and exploring the island. We went to Barbados last year and absolutely loved it, but we stayed in a little apartment and were mostly off exploring the island every day. I think for our honeymoon we are leaning more towards a hotel, with a little more luxury and less responsibility for us!

My question is, where should we stay? We aren't party animals, but we do like a little bit of nightlife, so I don't want to stay somewhere too quiet. Anyone have suggestions?
