We are wanting to go to the carribean the first week of April. We are looking at Turks and Caicos and Puerto Rico. We are trying to decide where to stay. Certainly a kitchen would be nice so that we don't have to eat out every meal. Mostly we want to be able to sleep separately from the kids. We are looking for warm, calm waters and an awesome beach. Any recommendations?

Turks and Caicos is made for that, 80% of the hotels are condos treated like full service resorts, with full kitchens, restaurants, etc.
TCI is also one of the most kid friendly islands in the region.
What's your budget? Can make a difference, as every place is nice, just different luxury levels and personality.
Also bare in mind, first week of April is Spring Break in US, so many places are already sold out, or at a premium.
Take a look at The Regent Palms on Grace Bay ....perfect for kids!
