I'm an adventurous traveler but this will be the first time venturing so far (we've been to Canada) with my daughter, by myself. I thought traveling via cruise was a great way to get her acclimated to traveling to foreign countries, and myself some practice in traveling alone with a child to faraway locations.
With that in mind, I also want to have a good time, it IS a vacation after all. So, I'm looking forward to exposing my child to the culture & history while enjoying being a tourist myself. In looking at the shore excursions, I'm just having a difficult time determining what would be the best options for us. We'll be spending 2 days prior to boarding in Barcelona. And the 7night cruise will be stopping over at Florence/Pisa, Rome, and Palma. Any expert help (esp those who have traveled with children) would be greatly appeciated!

The first thing that came to mind was to make sure you have a notarized letter from her father (even if you're married)giving you permission to travel outside the country alone with her. If you're in a sole custody situation, have that paperwork. I know that's probably not the kind of help you're looking for, but worth mentioning. Have a great time!!!!
Thats a very good point. I got a letter but i didnt get it notarized. Thanks for the suggestion.
You're welcome - I am married to someone who isn't a US citizen, DD has two passports and I travel with her (internationally) a lot by myself. It's come in handy more than once!
