Does anyone know if prescription drugs can be purchased at about the same price at the locations you would be stopping while on a Mexican Cruise, as you can in Arizona/Mexico border towns? How about Mexican airports?

On our Ensenada stop we walked off the ship... into a pharmacy!!
So I guess you can buy them. I asked for NasalCrom - over-the-counter in the US, but expensive, I hoped for cheaper - they've never heard of it!
You can buy medications in most Mexican ports. I would recommend that you write down the generic name of the product you are interested in. NasalCrom may be prominent in the US but in Mexico, it might be called something else - AbrirNariz or something. If you write it down, just hand it to the pharmacist and go from there. Sometimes it is slightly different - loratadine, for instance, is loratadina but pharmacists are used to this. Also, if you have the time, I would walk into the main part of town and buy from a reputable looking pharmacy there where local people are shopping. There have been some instances of "sugar pills" or other worthless meds being sold in pharmacies near the ports.
They should be about the same price as Arizona/Mexico border towns or a little less.
IMO, not worth the risk.
Do a Google search of prescription drugs in Mexico. About.com says:
"Drugs you purchase in Mexico may be counterfeit. Medical studies show that one in five drugs purchased in Mexico is counterfeit or substandard."

Personally, I wouldn't do it. Why chance it? I know people who go south for the winter get their prescriptions filled before they head out.
