I just want to go into Cayman for a 1-2 hour walk around the town. They bring passengers in by launch. Can I go back to the cruise ship at any time or do I have to wait for others that booked the "tours"? And, if I don't want to get off the cruise ship, will they have any kind of food service on board when in a port? Can you tell, I am a newbee to cruising.
Thanks

You can get on and off whenever you please and yes if you stay on food will be served. Enjoy your cruise. Larry
cruisecritic.com reviews specific to your ship
They "tender" in all day usually go/return as you like
Food always on board as usual...
You can get on and off the ship as often and as amny time as you want and all the facilities on the ship remains open while it is in port (except for shops and casino) They actually run specials for the spas while at port.
If you are at the main Grand cayman port, the tender takes you right into town. If the sea is too rough, they have 2 options, cancel the port visit altogether (happened to us once) or go to the alternate port facilities at Spotts Bay, which is about $5 cab ride to George Town. There is nothing, zero, ziltch, facilities at the Spotts Bay port facility. There is nothing interetsing immediately outside either ....
