It all depends what are your likes and dislikes.
Knossos is the largest Bronze Age archaeological site on Crete and is worth a visit. Koules Fortress would be another worthwhile stop.
Agree w/Eschew....Knossos is a must see!
We were there 2 years ago when we were diverted from Athens due to strikes. Had been to Crete before, so did not go back to Knossos--a mistake. Would have been better to revisit Knossos than wander around the port, quay and town. Go to Knossos.
Definitely Knossos. But, even in April, it will be crowded in the morning. Go in the afternoon and you will be able to enjoy it far more.
To go to Knossos is it better a private tour or easy to reach it by public transportation?
