We sailed the Liberty 4/24-5/1 had an awesome time. Last cruise was on Princess Sapphire and was so disappointed in the food was not sure I would cruise again. This was a special trip with my sister and we were very happy with everything. We had an extended aft balcony which had 2 chaises, a chair, and table, and still room. The food was excellent in the dining room and Harry's(30 charge). Enjoyed the Mongolian grill, deli, outside grill, and burrito bar for lunch. I do not like buffets so did not eat there so can not comment.
I know people do not always like to take the excursions from the cruise ship, but we did all from Carnival. We loved the cooking class at the beach at playa de mia
(hope that is right). The chef and his staff made it so enjoyable, we did not realize from description drinks were included all day. 3 hours here and 2 on the beach. Did reef and rays on Grand Cayman and for $39 each thought it was a great deal with excellent staff on boat. We did the bamboo beach club in Jamaica, it was enjoyable, wish they would have suggested water shoes as I still have two needle like things in my foot. The water was calm, included free drinks and apps. In Miami we did the everglades tour for $20 more than transfers to the airport we thought it was a great deal and had fun.
We flew in a day early and spent the night at the Holiday Inn port of Miami, I had booked for proximity to port, but had read some scary reviews about area here and elsewhere. I would have canceled based on those reviews, but am glad I booked a non-refundable room, so I was unable to cancel. We were very happy with the location, the room, the bed(10 pillows labeled soft and firm for 2 beds, I am a pillow person). The room was clean, bathroom looked recently redone, fitness room, service at front quick and efficient. We spent the afternoon at the bayside market place right across the street and went back for lunch the next day before boarding the ship. Without having a car and not wanting to spend lots on a taxi for dining and entertainment we were very pleased.

I want to comment on anytime dining, this was my fourth cruise, and I will never do a set time for dining again(you might have to book early for this). It was so nice not to have dinner time interfere with port time, excursions, or just when you are hungry time. We had 3 different wait teams and they were all terrific. Waited formal night 30 min, for table, but they give you a pager that reaches all over the ship. Hope this info helps.
