Taking a cruise of Northern Europe in August. Would like restaurant recommendations for the following ports for lunch: Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn (Estonia), and Gothenburg, Sweden. We could return to the ship, but really like to experience the local fare so if anyone has a favorite we'd love to hear about it. Please don't tell me to post on Cruisecritics.com as I already have. Thanks!

Locals with great info
Thank you so much! What a fascinating sight and it will be so helpful in planning our days in each port.
We were on a Baltic Cruise last summer and of the cities you mentioned we went to Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, and Tallinn.
We had food in every location and tried something local. But, we did so without firm plans and just walked around a saw things that looked interesting. Any decent guidebook can give you specifics. But, I think all of these locations are easily explored by foot and have numerous options for dining on spec.
In Stockholm, for example, there are numerous cafes in Gamla Stan (Old Town) and we sat at one that had a nice looking decor and outdoor seating.
In Helsinki, we had food at one of the stalls in the outdoor market near Senate Square and the Uspenski Cathedral.
Tallinn, likewise, has a main center with numerous places to eat.
In Copenhagen we stopped briefly for a light snack before going to Tivoli Gardens for the day.
We were traveling with our 8 and 7 year old and intentionally wanted to give them a sense of just exploring.
In each of those cities we had things we wanted to see and areas where we wanted to start, but didn't really have a real plan. We had a fantastic day in Helsinki just wandering around with a map and exploring.
