I just returned from a 9-day cruise out of NYC whose last port was Samana.
Trip report to come shortly.
This is a fairly new port & some have asked what to do there. Since I
always do my own shore excursions, I can heartily recommend
www.whalesamana.com.
One can e-mail their reservation & pay $50 + $3 conservation fee at their
office before boarding for the 2-1/2 tour (ship wanted $90).
Only 3 boats are allowed near the whales & we did see plenty.
Slickers, drinks & dramanine are all included.
A geat way to see the lush area.
