A friend of mine is looking into a silversea cruise in the caribbean for her honeymoon. What is the major advantages of doing this vs. a regular cruise? They are in their early 30's- just looking to relax and get pampered. Is it true all drinks are included?

What a perfect ship for honeymoon! All wine and drinks are included except the very primium wines. Caviar flows freely and they serve good quality, but again for the very top ones you need to pay, to which I say fair enough. The crew will make you feel special in a refined way. Passengers are generally well-heeled well traveled, and all friendly. They will be very happy.
I was on a Silversea cruise in Europe. I was amazed at the vast range in ages among the passengers, from 30 year olds to those in their 80's. We were seated at dinner one night with a couple on their honeymoon and another couple that had been married for 55 years. It was wonderful.
But be warned . . . there are lots of wealthy people on Silversea, and they are very impressed with themselves. And some of the wait staff can get a little snooty, too . . . . sort of like the desk clerks at luxury hotels in Italy. You know what I mean!
Tell your friend, not only are all drinks included, but they will put a bottle of Moet et Chandon champagne in your refrigerator, and if you drink it, they will replace it . . . every day. There is no tipping. NONE. On some of the cruises, there is a Silversea special event, such as a free shore excursion or a concert or something. Very nice. Free Internet, too. It's expensive, but you get a lot for your money, Your friends will get very spoiled!
I haven't found the crew snooty. They are friendly and eager to please. Other passengers are sure of themselves that afford them to be friendly and courteous. Majority older as in any cruise, but still all age groups. More international than mass-market lines which makes it interesting. Your friends will feel welcome, relaxing and pampared.
Top Notch....no snoodiness from crew. Your friends will be very pleased regardless of their age! Yes, this cruise is all inclusive.
