looking for a small ship experience to Alaska as neither hubby or I enjoy large ships. We have been on ships as low as 60 people (Galapagos and Costa rica) which was great to around 200 (Regent and Windstar). Ideas for Alaska .......

Lindblad has small ships, never see The huge cruise ships, go to small villages and use zodiacs, kayaks. Excellent experience.

my fav might also check out American Safari
others on cruisecritic.com
Happy deciding!
We have done 2 cruises with Lindblad (Costa Rica/Panama Canal and the Galapagos)and enjoyed them both but they are very expensive but I knew that going in. Thanks for the tip on American Safari - will check it out.....
Does anyone knows if Cruise West back in business yet?
Doubt they will be back
apparently Inner Sea Discoveries bought the ships from Cruise West and they were bought by American Safari Cruises. I am leaning toward the Inner Sea Discoveries excursions. small ships - 60 people and lots of adventure.
We traveled with Cruise West in about 2000 and thoroughly enjoyed. As you know they are out of business. I looked over the Inner Sea trips and they are not really like the one we took. They go to some different areas of the Inside Passage, and indeed miss some important ones in my estimation. I am helping someone plan a trip for next year and have the same problem with a recommendation. It seems that only Inner Sea and Linblad have such trips. Any other ideas?
