Here are three cruising stories from the Dogologues.
I wouldn't exactly call them trip reports - but every word is true. They are my report of MY trip, anyway. You might find them amusing. Of course, cruising is wonderful. I was just err... unlucky.

Wow. Very sharply observed and well-written. Thanks and congrats on writing this!
thank you tri - I was a little concerned about bunging this in here, 'cos I know how enthusiastic you all are about cruising. Me too - it's just that every time I go on one - it's hell on water. lol.
Ages ago, I put 'Death by Azamara' in Cruise Critic and they deleted it in about four seconds. lol. So far, so good in here.
Thanks for all of your insight..
I opened all 3 links, and sorry to say, couldn't read any of them! Gray letters on black background - is it my computer? my eyes? How did you guys manage to read?
lol sorry Dayenu. Try increasing your viewing size. See that little 100% sign down the bottom right corner?
You're only the second one to have problems with this. Well, only the second one to tell me. Short of changing the format, I don't know how to fix this.
If you're really keen, I'll E-mail them to you. Just try and squint your way down to the 'comments' and leave me an addy.
Figured this out - if I highlight, copy to Words - I can read black on white.
I wish I wouldn't! It sounds not like described with humor, it's like the author's hobby is to find something negative about everybody he met!
Sorry, I'm out. You all carry on!
Well thanks for that kind comment Dayenu. I guess you won't want the E-mail then?
At least you can tell others to copy to Words so my last post is not completely useless for you
Under Appearance on your Wordpress dashboard you'll find "Themes" - if you pick a different theme you'll get different colors. Someone I follow on Twitter asked for opinions on white-on-black today - uniformly negative response.
I hear you thursday - and even my non-fan Dayenu - lol. Look now. Not as snazzy, but practical. Come back Dayenu. kissy kissy.
Thanks! That's much better for me - and still pretty snazzy, even if less in-your-face!
Dogster, you have to learn to use emoticons

And I was able to read after copying it to words
Now, if only I could understand the photo in your profile...
Oh, lol - emoticons - err... no. I was kinda hoping that people would get the meaning from the words, rather than a little smiley face. lol lol lol. I always thought that was the art of it...
but no matter. I'm glad you popped back Dayenu. But I think you have to put your happy hat on to read these stories - they really aren't written as revenge. Actually, I tried to write them with love - and a certain blind acceptance... until they really got up my nose.
The reality of writing is that if there isn't any conflict, there really isn't much of a story. So if I dwell on the more err.. extreme of my characters - that's where the narrative is, that's where the jokes are, that where the amazement lies.
So pop the happy hat on and try again. Or, if you like, go read some of the other thirty stories in the site. You'll see them if you click here:

I'm thinking... should I offer you a trade? I'll read your reports if you read mine
Still thinking...
I've had a lot of hits from your guys. Thank you. Even Dayenu will be happy now. No more grey on black! lol. More to come soon from Papua New Guinea and Burma.
Two more river-cruise stories from India added, as well as some pictures. You'll see there has been progress at the site.

just click on 'The Wonders of Cruising'. I'll get all the links working today.
Hi, I am still here! Surprised?

Your "death-on-the-gangs" is gone, yeah? We'll be going to Scandinavia to put some volcanic ashes on our heads mourning this loss
No, Dayenu. But I think the links have changed. The site has gone thru mucho renovations. But don't concern yourself. It's always a thrill to hear from you. The link above gets you there with one click - but you might get confused by all the pretty pictures. As I KNOW you want to finish off every last word, this link will get you directly there:

lol lol lol. Scandinavia? How great. I'm in Europe in a month.
