Yes. May and early June for some Princess inside passage crusies. Once July hits, no more Tracy Arms for them.
Why is do they not go to Tracy Arm in middle of summer ?
FYI: It is my understanding it is not always possible to get into Tracy Arm early in the season due to ice.
We went to both with Lindblad in early July.
I would say Glacier Bay is a "must" although Tracy Arm is nice. A lotof the ship say they will go to Tracy Arm for scenic crusing. They will only go when it is safe, as in not too much floating ice.
It's been quite typical that there is a 1 in 3 chance of not getting to see Tracy Arm early in the season. They would go half way and turn back as it is not safe.
We went in July on Regent and took the Tracy Arm excursion. It was spectacular as it took us right up to the Glacier. The Regent ship itself entered the arm and sailed up to a point but not close to the Glacier.
We went to both in July on Lindblad's Sea Lion.
